Getting Organized

The first priority at the moment –  end of the college semester. After that perhaps I can spend a few solid days getting some of the material back into order.   Bad news – the text backups from the Blogspot blog is nowhere to be found.   This is not a showstopper.  There was no unique or irreplaceable material on the old Blogger site,  barring a few comments.

My 2006 impression of Joplin Jalopy sometime in October 1944 when its individual letter was changed from Bar-C to Bar-O, although the armor plate panels under both pilots’ windows (port and starboard side)  may have been stripped of paint by that time. .

I think something that might help would be a wish-list of information,  in text form or images,  which I’m seeking but have not yet collected.

I notice from the 44BGVA website that the archive which belonged to Will Lundy, the 44BGVA historian and a Group veteran himself has been transferred to the Army War College in Carlisle, PA.  I’m glad it’s found a home.

Onward and upward.
